FOUNDATION
I am merely an intermediary; the true author is matter itself. Its power lies in its wildness and primal origin.
This work grew out of personal experience. Being dismissed from a senior position, uncertainty, responsibility to my family. I had to rebuild my relationship with what I could truly lean on.
I did not create this form from scratch. I saw it and brought it to a state where it became an autonomous sculptural presence — an embodiment of inner support. Support is born from within.
For me, wood is bedrock. It preserves traces of struggle, much like a human being: each carries their own scars, yet remains whole and alive. Within the sculpture lies space for life, while its tactile surface invites touch.
